| Alcohol Hello, I'm a 30 year sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous. AA's third step to recovery says, "We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God,as we understood him (this last phrase in Italics)". The last few years I've noticed that my fellow AAs have a great deal of difficulty with this step. They seem to think that it amounts to selling your soul or that a person who takes this step will be demeaned by it the way we would be demeaned if we sold ourselves to another person. I realized that they had a concept of God that was small and that, with a Big God, taking the step would not be demeaning. More Testimonials For Alcohol. Submit Your Testimonial
